Hey folks! We have a few special announcements this time around along with our next event announcement, so take a look! Next Meetup & Rails World Ticket RaffleFirstly, our next Toronto Ruby instalment will be happening at Humi's office on August 13th at 6pm. The Rails Foundation has generously donated two tickets for us to raffle away at our next meetup! The raffle will be in-person only, and will be a random draw from a hat for each ticket. We're excited to share, and we can't wait to see you then! Rails World is looking for local volunteers!If you couldn't grab a ticket, or just want to lend a hand, Rails World would love your support. Volunteering means a commitment of 4-5 hours split across the 3 days of the event (September 25, 26, and 27) for shifts at Evergreen Brickworks and the 3 conference hotels. You will have loads of free time to mingle, attend sessions, and enjoy the rest of the conference and the Friday night closing party. If you are interested please complete this form by Wednesday July 31 and they will let you know as soon as possible if you have been chosen to volunteer. Toronto Ruby’s Guide to the City for Rails World AttendeesWe are collaborating with the Rails Foundation on a city guide for Rails World attendees - what they should see, do, and eat while in Toronto, and we’d love your help compiling the list. What are your favourite places to visit? What is a must-see while they are in our city? Any tips to share? Please add your suggestions here. We are so excited, and we hope to see you soon. |
